Over You

by Beauty   May 30, 2007

You said if I left
You would be lonely
But the truth is
You care for no-body.

You flirt, you tease,
You do as you please,
I smile and obey,
Whatever you say

A relationship could never
Be like that,
It went on for so long
I'm surprised I didn't snap.

You held my waist and
Looked into my face
Telling me you wouldn't want to
Be any other place.

How could you lie?
Did you think I wouldn't find out?
You said it yourself
There isn't much I don't know about.

You said I was a pretty face
That's for sure
But did you really believe
There was nothing more.

My hatred for you
Was oh-so pure
But luckily for my pain
There was a cure.

It's over now
But I'm stuck in a trance
Guilt pulls me back
So I can't advance.

Why should I feel bad?
For having new friends
How was I supposed to know?
It drove you round the bend.

I knew you were jealous
I could see it in your eyes
But you told me I was wrong
Now I know they were lies.

A guy called J pulled me through
He helped me realise I'm over you
So now I'm saying it because it's true
I'm finally over you.
