Shared Pains

by George   May 30, 2007

In troubled manner shall I sleep,
Till I no longer make you weep.
What can I do to stop the fall?
Cease your hurts, end it all?
To cause you pain, or see it done,
Kills me more than any gun.
I hear you cry and call your name,
For hurting you, harms me the same.
Why is it though must be this was,
That fear and pain are all that stay?
What happened to that lovely night,
When bond between us grew so tight?
I love you still as I did then,
And long to know that night again.
I'll do whatever you now need
To stop this evil hateful seed
From growing more, and taking hold,
and making you again turn cold.
But if you need me now to leave
To keep you from the need to grieve,
The news would tear my heart apart,
But willingly then would I part.
For though the act would soon kill me,
I want to let you happy be.

Awww....so touching. Each piece of yours is so good, and though my comments may sound repetitive, I find it necessary to share them. I hate to think of how many comments I missed because people failed to take the time and share their appreciation, or their critiques. So I am sharing mine. Great job! Good conclusion!

The flow was great, the word choice was awesome, the vocab excellent, The rhymes were outstanding unforced, the emotion was strong, and the message was clear. You did a great job on this poem, try reading the poem out loud to spot place where the flow is rocky, it becaomes more apparent when you havent read the poem in a day or so, But other than that excellent job 5/5
