There is no such thing as fairytales

I was young and stupid
believed every word you said
i heard of happiness and endless love
that i now know of is a fake
Reality hurts and aches of unspoken truth
No Cinderella story of a prince who will come to rescue you
Nothing comes for free
without shedding a few tears of blood

I've always though that fantasies can come true
and live happily ever like once upon a time
With few sacrifices but it always ends good

I've realized there is no such thing
My eyes have opened to this world
I've woken from a dream back to reality
where nothing is free
And hatred lingers

The only happiness i see
is seeing pain from others
Thats the closest i would ever get to a smile
