We are so close,
Yet such strangers.
There is so much we know,
But still so much hidden.

From the very first day,
You were there.
You held my hand firmly,
To show how much you care.

I returned your kindness,
By being a steady shoulder.
I thanked you constantly,
By being the one who was bolder.

I listened to your tears,
And took in all your pain.
I contemplated your fears,
While ignoring my own hurt.

I carried your pain filled heart,
While supporting my own.
I've held you while you fell apart,
And listened to you sob on the phone.

Over the past few days i have noticed,
Thats my feelings are left unheard.
I've tried to tell you this,
But you seem to ignore every word.

You go about your self centered ways,
Throwing your s**t upon everyones plate.
You act like you don't really care,
But in the end this is not what you say.

I'm trying to make you notice,
It's not just about YOU.
Everyone has problems,
And moments when they don't know what to do.

So I'll take my space,
And let you think about what I have said.
