Guardian angel

by SamiJo   Apr 19, 2004

I have a guardian angel, who sits upon my shoulder
it helps me through my problems, as i grow older
it sits there and tells me, the things that i should say
it sits there and helps me, get through my long day
isnt it strange, how a few helping words, can help you to do right
isnt it strange, how such a miniscule thing, can help you make it through the night
i love my guardian angel, it goes with me everywhere
even though i cant see it, i know its always there
sitting right there, perched on my shoulder with a smile
following me through every step, and laughing all the while
crystal blue eyes and baby soft skin, and wings trimmed with gold
my angel seems so real to me, yet it's impossible to hold
i have a little devil, that sits on my other side
when my angel sees him, it rushes off to hide
it peeks around the corner and climbs up on my ear
it raises its tiny wand and makes that devil disappear
so i owe a lot of thanks to my little angel
who keeps me out of trouble and protects me from all danger
everyone has an angel, whether they know it or not
its sitting on your shoulder, in its special spot
its telling you what you should do, listen closely and you'll hear
it's whispering its words of wisdom quietly into your ear
and if you look, very closely...closer and you may detect
your little guardian angel just waiting to protect
