Tiptoe Soft Lullaby

by debbylyn   May 31, 2007

Welcome dark dream's embrace
Gentle waves bestow soft lullaby
Tiptoes reach to kiss thy face
Lulled from slumber's lonely cry

Tortured love to wax and wane
Fingers trace beloved's hand
Prayer and longing one the same
Time's precious gift a grain of sand

Sheltered path holds shadow's play
Taste of salt through open door
No hint of fallen steps displayed
Perchance the dream, a dream no more
