Summerland

by ephemera   May 31, 2007

I stand in an ocean of emerald waves
Golden lights dance all around me
The gentle youth of the south softly calls my name
The Summer Queen gives me her crown
Today I feel beautiful in my kingdom of Earth
Yet a deep sorrow fills my heart
I am the newly crowned princess to a vast empire
And the time draws nigh for my reign to commence

Shall there be no prince to reign at my side?
I call out to you through the seasons
Where are you love of my life?
Endlessly searching for the keeper of my heart
Wary of how quickly the summer shall fade
Into the autumn where life grows cold
I must find you my love
Before the summer fades

This to me kinda feels like a modern fairytale. I guess we all just have to have a bit of Optimism, If you truly believe theres someone else out there for you, I believe you'll find them one day. Sweet poem

    Take Care.
