Fake.

by La La xx Beth   May 31, 2007

I'm really good at putting on a fake smile
and acting like everything's alright.
No one notices that I'll cry every night
or how I am dying inside.

You can say I'm an actress,
if that's what you want to call me.
But I guess you can call my audience,
fools for believing.

He doesn't want to be with me,
he wants to be with her.
They don't like me,
they don't say a word.

I act like I am invinsable.
I say I'm confident
and act carefree.
But really, they don't know the real me.

Someone elses pain
is not for gain.
So then why are kids,
always afraid,

To show who they truly are,
to let people in?

I am cautious about trust,
and clueless to love.
I am a fighter, a hoper,
a wisher, and a dreamer.
Oh, did you believe me?

Putting on a fake smile everyday
is simple once you get used to it.
People don't know the real me,
and sometimes, they just don't see.

I call out for help,
but no one hears.
They never will.
It's all the same.
