Silence Unyielding

by ShootingStar179   May 31, 2007

Why would love stand silent,
To a world in need of help?
The only communication offered is violent,
Silence kills before the gun fires.

Live for love to stay alive, not perish,
For that is all it seems to do,
No one quite like you, I always cherish,
Please don't snuff out the bright fire of your heart,

I beg, pray, and hope God will deliver you,
From the clutches of war fought with greed,
This pain inside will grow, if this is what you do,
Silent is a voice, long hushed by reality.

My hope, dream and plea is for you to live,
Live for those who love you truly,
Not for the pain, strength and lives you give,
Your heart is worth more than all money.

Hush not the voice of reason.
