As art translates into sound
And graces our ears with soft melodies
No troubles were found
And all was well
Until white fills her face
And she is forced to give in
She knows no sorrow in this illness
But only the beauty that will result
I gave her a flower to numb her pain
And she accepted it with great gratitude

She stood one last time and walked to the window
To look at all the things she created
With a sigh and a quiver
She falls to the floor
A smile covers her face
She was ready to cross over

But not to death
But to new life
As I kissed her hand a final time she said

"If only the one who dwells with me
In my final moments
Could leave this prison
And join me in the smooth melodies and peace
That awaits me on the other side"

I cried at her last words
As all her emotions were injected into mine
Her eyes turned gray
Then she grew her wings
And flew towards the sound
And I myself could not bear the envy
