Speak To Me

by Sarah Ann   Jun 1, 2007

Speak to me:
Tell me something so typical
A lullaby or something miserable
Just to keep me up believing,
Save my heart from poorly grieving
Keep me from dancing in the rain
Trying to wash this pain away

Speak to me:
You promised me starry night skies
Come back to me. Let's compromise
Tell me something so typical
A lullaby or something miserable
So that I suffer with you living free
Inside my darkest memories

Speak to me:
I remember I was standing there
With dirt and tangles in my hair
I cried and the look on your face
Made me feel so pretty. So in place.
What I need now is for you to see
The girl you think is...isn't me.
