Empty Bed

A fallen tear,
Hear it drop.
A broken heart,
Feel it stop.

Tears and cries,
Both combine.
Filled with sadness,
Words can't define.

His life,
Taken away.
His family,
In disarray.

A new day,
Look ahead.
A new night,
Empty bed.

    Short, sad but enjoyable. 5. the last line in the second stanza kinda threw off the flow but you recovered well all in all a good poem.
