Realisation of my Youth (A Gift For My Mother)

by Christopher Liau   Jun 1, 2007

Through all my years,
You were always there for me,
To wash away my fears,
Setting my dreams free.

The time you found for me,
I really must applaud,
Whilst working without reprieve,
For food we could afford.

You've done so much for me,
So much I can't repay,
Hope I can fill you with glee,
With these words I have to say.

Thank you, with my very core,
Is what I want to say,
For pushing so much more,
Making me who I am today.

As a child I was never sad,
And you know that is true,
Because I never needed a dad,
With a mum as special as you.
