Save me with your sanity

by Rustedwings   Jun 1, 2007

Save me with your sanity
Wrap me in your arms
Hold me as Id hold you
And hide me from these harms

Save me, see these parallels
Embrace this thing of change
Delve out from this friendship
And out beyond the strange

Where stars collide and re-emerge
And rain seems flash from the sky
Where falling is a good thing
And dreams can never die

Where your lips need not move
And silence speaks it for you
Where conversations lip to lip
Right where I adore you

Where dancing on in circles
And laughing for no reason
Where making sense is pointless
Where ordered thought is treason

Where anything can be your face
And time is just dimension
Where seasons have no merit
And aging gets no mention

Save me with your sanity
Wrap me in your arms
Hold me as Id hold you
And hide me from these harms

Take a look where shadows lie
Peek beyond the curtain
Seek what lies enshrouded
And what is never certain

Come along where stones can fly
And sinking clouds drown in your cup
Where time runs on penguin feet
And up is down and purple is up

Lie with me and watch the sky
See the sky where stars converge
Where many dancing colours
Dancing colours seem to merge

Lose me in your sanity
Wrap me in your fingers
Leave me in the morning
Where only this dream lingers
