Falling

by Lyndsay Kalyta   Jun 1, 2007

I'm standing here alone with you
Wishing time would just stand still
But it ticks on even faster
Each minute passing by kills

It's taken forever to get to this point
And it seems like forever till things will be the same
I just don't want you to go
And I'm sure it is written all over my face

I hate the fact that I'm falling for you
And you're falling out of my reach
That's why I am trying so hard
To show you I'm all you will need

I don't want anything from you
But what I need is to know that you care
And a true promise that
When you come back, you will be there

I'm holding my heart in my hands
And extending it out to you
In hopes that you might take it
If you believe this is true

I am putting all of my trust
That you will not break my heart
Because if I don't catch you falling
I will for surely fall apart
