Scars

One scar for my pain
One scar on my wrist
One scar on my thigh
One scar on my chest
Each and every scar tells a story
A story of a girl who loved the knife
Who used the knife to carve meaningful
Red pictures on her skin
I'm not ashamed of my blue and purple scars
I'm not going to hide them from my children
I'm proud of my scars,
They show a battle fought against depression
People lose blood, get cuts, bruises, and scars.
Why should cutting your skin with a knife be any
Different then falling and cutting your skin open
With a scrape? People choose to write there story
on paper, while I like to tell my story by my scars written not with a simple pen but with a simple knife.
Every scar has a story why hide and be embarrassed by your self-inflicted story?

I have too many scars to remember the story but I do remember a few a select few scars and brands stand out I've went down that path many times and sadly I believe I'll go down it many more
