I've seen love die so many times.
Most of the time it deserved to stay alive,
That's the sad thing.
Watching two people fall in love,
Then, slowly, the love dies,
Not to be brought back to life.
Horrible to witness,
Tha happiness and contentment
That love brought to them,
Disappearing, oh so slowly
Into darkness.
Powerless to do anything
Except stand and watch,
Helpless as these two souls drift
Hopelessly apart,
Still calling out to each other,
But not hearing the other's call.
Belief that love has deserted, has died,
Enforces the break of the bond,
To ensure it can never be mended.
So sad, so painful.
Helpless, hopeless, drifting,
Love dies...
