The Thriving.

by Phantasmagoria   Jun 1, 2007

Some call him a sinner,
some call him a saint
all the while unknowing
the innocence he'll taint.
They bask in his glory,
they covet his shame,
but in reality are HIS pons
in his own twisted game.

With a smile like barbed wire
he torments the vain,
with the eyes of cold fire,
he seems almost sane.
Evil lives in a thriving town,
while bidding no traces.
Evil wears a merry mask
that looks like all our faces.

A nice short piece there. I think I liked the first stanza better, simply because I liked the second rhyme. I don't really have anything else to say, which is rather unusal.
