Nice Guys

by Andrew   Jun 1, 2007

I've heard it been said that nice guys finish last,
But with so many scars in both body and mind,
A shattered heart worn on an old tattered sleeve,
The pain growing more with each second without her,
Hoping to find a reason to live in each can of beer,
This nice guy wont even get to finish his race.

*This was inspired by a man I met just today that is really digging his own grave by using alcohol to deal with his girlfriend/wife (not sure which) leaving him*

    I love this.
    really do.
    i haven't read anything like it before, and it's going on my favourite poems. =]

    i think the way it flows without a rhytem was great.
    && i love the idea.

    the tone was soft and emotional.

    good work, hunni. <3
