Summer in the Silent Air

by Romancing the Darker Side   Jun 2, 2007

Summer in the silent air
Scents float by quietly
Dramatic much are the neighbors
Screaming slightly violently

Interrupting the peace
The car alarm sings
Feathers fly off pigeons
With non-angelic wings

Summer is in the city
Nightime is in the dark
Fireworks and butterflies
Dance throughout the park

Visions of streetlights
As we sit on our porch
Sights of summer barbeque
That's only slightly scorched

Warmth is a given
And icy snow is no more
Summer, here for three short months
Is something to adore

Summer definately doesn't last long enough and we should enjoy the weather while it's here, soon enough it will be winter again. Excellent job and great flow once again, you have excellent potential as a writter. 5/5

It was good, but the rhyme scheme didn't flow very well. And the subject seemed to change, at first I though it was about a man storming out on his wife or something, but then it kind of changed into a poem about how amazing summer is.

However, I liked it alot. 4/5 keep up the good work
