Poor little boy

by Raven   Jun 2, 2007

Little boy in a hole in the ground
little boy knows what he found
what he knows now is he cant get out
poor little boy.

the poor little boy has been there 8 days
starved and upset he lost the lights rays
along came a man who had no care for kids
he buried that boy up to his hips
poor little boy

the boy had been stuck for a few more days now
he wants something to eat, he could eat a cow
waiting silently for someone to save him
right then, a little girl met him
he commented on how her smile wasn't right
and the hole is where he stayed that night
poor little boy

the little boy's possession sat in his pocket
the small thing he had was his mothers locket
his mothers corpse in a grave under him
that poor little boy wanted someone to save him
he waited and waited and finally someone came
and that jerk of a person seemed to have no shame
they took a gun and held back the shot
and buried the hole right up to the top
poor little boy

poor little boy sat silently
hoping for some air
running out of it slowly,
hand in pocket,
holding locket,
when he saw a little white light
and with his mommy he is tonight.

poor little boy went to graves one day
decided he didn't want to play
remembered his mother and her locket
dug it up and put it in his pocket
had dug too far down
and had gotten stuck
buried alive what what he got
yes it sad I understand
but it could have been worse
poor little boy.

This was really dark. good though. and more unique than most dark poems I've read. its amazing how many there are about eating disorders and cutting and abusive relationships - but then those are a whole lot more common that children being buried alive. I'm gonna stop thinking about that before I get some serious nightmares.
