She said we were leaving
didn't know where to go
had to get out fast
so that dad didn't know.

Physical and emotional abuse are so prevalent in life and need to brought to the attention of others. You do this with your writing. Great job!

I really hope this didn't really happen to you! this poem has emotion beyond belief and such a final ending. the flow again was flawless and the words really do speak, I could see the pictures from that poem drifting in my head as I was reading it. great write but tragic story! 5/5
