I Know Him By Heart

His every move, I see so clear
Inside my mind he lives and breathes
A simple touch upon my heart
Fills my soul with ecstasy.

His smile captures me in time
Releasing for the world to see
The thunder of his love relates
Upon the brink of sanity.

A touch inside my mind he makes
Each thought, each memory
A gesture to the heart that quakes
Steals away my energy.

His eyes have held me hostage
For so long I cannot see
That he now fills my every fate
To wield in me such fantasy.

But pain is all I find these days
Each night I cry, Tears fill my eyes
A simple time, a soul betrayed
Wrapped up in the touch of lies.

Could love have dealt such bitter cold
Shattered love in broken parts
No kindness to a shaken soul
Because I know him by heart

    Well... I dont believe I've been left this speechless in a while after reading a love poem...My eyes just jumped from line to line...theres nothing that should be fixed or anything...the way you wrote this just left me with a "wow!"...With a title like the one you chose there are a few different ways you can go with this, and I love the way you wrote it!....Absolutley beautiful piece of poetry!
