I Can't Fight What I Can't See (274)

by NinjaGirl   Jun 2, 2007

I'm crying at night
When I'm alone in my bed
Memories of my past
Flying through my head.

I twist and turn
Trying to shake them away
But no matter how much I try
They're always here to stay.

That's when I realised
The impossibility
Of getting rid of three years ago
When I can't fight what I can't see.

I can't see what used to be
And I can't fight my past
I have to face the fact
That these memories will always last.

I feel like I'm dying
The reminders are deadly
And I still remember
I can't fight what I can't see.
