A mid summer night's dream !

by chavii   Jun 2, 2007

An angelic whisper melts in my ear,
awakening me from my deep slumber.
Perplexed , i look around
but find trace of no living creature.
Little disappointed and half confused
i look outside the window.
and get greeted by the majestic full moon
Admiring the balmy serene night
my face get caressed by escatic breeze passing by.
Momentarily making me part of a surreal dream.
The night transforms itself in a charming prince,
and gazes lovingly at me as moonlit.
The rhythmical breeze becomes his love sonnets,
inviting me to dance with heavenly glee.
Lost in my sweet dream i dance and dance
holding hands of my invisible imaginary prince.
But soon the magic fades away ,
bringing me back to reality, my empty room.
The night becomes dark and still
making my heart ache with loneliness and grief.
For moment i wished it was real
and not just another mid summer night's dream.

P.S. Dear friends thank you for encouraging me to write again .I'm still struggling with writers block and this is very lousy attempt :P

    by WRITING IS MY ESCAPE

    SAVE DARFURby Barbara

    Imagine being attacked
    and losing all you have
    Imagine crying all day
and no one is there on yourside
    Imagine having no food
and no clean water to drink
    Imagine being a slave
for someone who takes over yourlife
    Imagine going to bed
knowing you might not wake up
    Save darfur
    because our brothers and sisters
    are dieing everyday
