Come Home

by Kendra   Jun 2, 2007

There she sits waiting
her head resting on her knees,
"Oh let him come home, I'm begging you please"!
The best dad, the only dad, that the little girl had ever had,
was away once again, defending from all the bad.
Only letters to keep father and daughter in touch,
She worried and worried for she loved him so much.
If he was safe and OK, she wasn't sure,
but she dreamed for the day when he'd come home to her.
Packages and written words cant replace a fathers love,
all she had was the memory of her fathers hugs.
So she sits waiting, all alone,
waiting for her father to finally come home.
