GREAT EXPECTATIONS

by shaka onuora spagnoletti   Jun 2, 2007

Woke up,
felt the sun
prayed that I'd open my eyes
to see little birds and bees
naked kids with leaves
Instead
the hot concrete walls
mad me bawl
Great expectations
But I guess I'll stick to my imaginations

Ashamed not to say who we are
gathering from near and far
to be one
reality said "not under this sun"
so
great expectations
but I guess I'll stick to my imaginations

the road id rough
but you know you've had enough
for soon you just know
the road will be smooth
a silky soft road you'll trod
don't hold your head straight
please
no
For

Great expectations
no limitations
but I guess I'll stick to my imaginations
