Scars

by Becca   Jun 2, 2007

There are two kinds of scars in the world
The kind you get
When you fall off your bike
And scrape your knee
You know?
The kind that your mom kisses
And it's all better
A little while later
And it just disappears
The kind of scar
That heals

Then there are the kinds of scars
That don't heal
A broken heart
A bruised ego from embarrassment
The scar you get
When you lose someone special
A scar from betrayal
A scar deep under your skin
That no one can see
A scar that hurts worse
Than any cut or scrape
A scar
That may never heal

Those kind of scars
The ones that don't heal
Slowly form
Deep under your skin
Where no one can see
So deep
That you don't notice
It's forming
It usally starts with something small
Then it gets
Bigger and bigger
Scars like that grow
And the larger they get
The harder it is
To get rid of them
