Forever Stop

Have you ever taken a walk
In that time of day
Where your shadow
Walks directly in front of you?

As I was strolling along
I noticed
How if you look down
At your shadow
The ground is moving through it

It reminded me
That the world is forever changing within and around us,
Even if we don't know
And occasionally you stop, but it always keeps changing

Changing and stopping
Changing and stopping
Forever changing
And then comes the point
Where there are no more shadows
And you have come to the end

And it reminded me
That sometimes
We forever stop
