I Tried

I try to place a smile
on my broken face
My heart has been mishandled
lost, and misplaced

I try to take some footsteps
to my broken home
to sit inside my room
once again alone

I try to fake my laughing
inside I truly cry
they don't see my tears
the pain is what I hide

I try to speak so calmly
but I'm running out of words
once again I'm falling
once again I'm hurt

I try to be excited
when a new day arrives
the tears start falling
it's fair to say I tried....

    Pretty good. really liked the 1st paragraph, not so much the rest... 4/5 for the 1st and the topic and ideas and feelings that are in this poem which is deep but maybe could have turned up better... sorry being true

    I really like this. i know how you're feeling. but trust me, things WILL get better. i know that's typically cliche. but i felt just like this about two years ago and things are so much better now. i hope you find what makes you happy in life. and great job on the poem!
