Lonely Today (317)

by NinjaGirl   Jun 3, 2007

The rain is pouring down
The feelings pouring out
I stand here in the cold
Watching them go by.

They walk past and fast
Shielding their faces
Trying to keep dry
And the rain comes in torrents.

I am invisible
In the sheer coldness of the rain
As it comes down in races
Building up my pain.

But I don't feel the pain
I just feel the cold
And it hits me hard
In my crying face.

I feel like screaming
I'm being tortured alive
I feel like my brain's about to burst
And my heart has been pulled out.

I'm like an empty shell
I have no conscience or soul
It's this ravenous hunger
That keeps me in this lonely today.
