Atleast I can admit that........

This rainy day is darkening my thoughts
The cloudy sky is blurring my mind
Decisions I once made, I question
Should I have left him behind?

I finally let go after a year and a half
I finally laid our old love to rest
I told him that I loved him
And then wished him all the best

I erased all his cruel words
The tears I did forget
And although he left me empty
Our love I don't regret

He once was my sunshine
This boy was once my life
But I can admit that he once was
Even though it wasn't right

This boy broke my heart
And in a way I broke his too
As one we were together
Didn't have the strength to pull through

This boy was my first love
And in a way I love him still
But it can never be as strong
And I guess is never will.
