And as the last minutes tick
before another day start
i am praying for this
with all honesty of my heart
Dearest God,
watch whom reads this poem
whisper in his ears the love
that comes from my heart's bottom
don't let any nightmares bother him tonight
id just snatch it right from his mind
keep him asleep peaceful and tight
even though i drown in the bad dreams he got
and last, thank You for giving me a chance
to meet someone like him not anyone can just have
and mostly for the simple yet most wonderful smiles
he shows and paints on the face mine.
i promise to take care of him during day
and let him hear the sweetest words i can say
i pray to You to bless 'me and him' forever
thank You Lord. Amen.
now, close thy eyes
as i gladly close mine
with thy face carved in my mind
then we shall both fall in to sleep
as i end this prayer with a kiss
