Tomorrow Is A Lie

by Daphne Darling   Apr 20, 2004

You said tomorrow, tomorrow I would know,
Tomorrow you would be there for me,
Tomorrow has come and gone ten times over,
I still do not see your face at my door,

For me tomorrow will never come,
For me tomorrow will never surface,

For tomorrow, I will wait until the end of time,
My heart pounding, looking up at the stars,
Tomorrow is a dream for me, a dream to come,
Watching at my window, watching for you,

It is now too late, tomorrow hasn’t come yet,
But now, now I will never see tomorrow,
For me the pain overtook, taking me from you,
to handle the pain, my life has passed,

On the dawn of a new day, I left this world,
The last tomorrow for me, I will not see it,

No more do I wait at the window for you,
No more do I see the day dawning,
No more do I see the birds in the dawn sky,
No more do I see the nightfall on today,

Life was too much to stand for me,
I take my eyes from this world now,
I no longer see what I did once,
No my eyes stare unseeing out the window,

Tomorrow will never again come for me,
Now tomorrow is a lie to me now.
