Time Dies

by Cawi   Jun 3, 2007

Time ticks its way to self-destruction,
Infantly dying but never dead.
It is not forceful,
It is not violent,
But yet it has condemned us.
Empires collapse,
And even stone withers away in it's wake.
We are defenseless to its ammunition.
It is the greatest and powerful
Most subtle - gentle weapon.
More deadly than the nuclear bomb,
Less feared than the mewling kitten.
It is a disease that infects us,
Carefully plucking its victims from the crowd.
Time Dies,
And brings us with it.

This poem has a lot of good ideas. This is my interpretation: Some day we will all be forgotten, and there will be no one and nothing left that we have had any effect on - we will be erased. (hope I'm right) i completely agree with what you are saying. this is good writing, and the theme "time dies" is really creative. I'd vote, but I'm not sure what to give this (something high - maybe 4, maybe 5)
