Love from the True Beginning.

by Isabelle   Jun 3, 2007

Reach back on the thread of time,
feel for the times of the past.

Tell me what was like to love,
when there were no words to speak.

It was a time of unrequited love,
unspoken words,
and of souls combined forever.

It was a time for love at its best.

There was no worries,
no money,
no pain,
no superstitions,
no fears.

Only things important were how long they could be together.

Before the guns,
Before the technology even began,
think of true love of the first cherishing moments,
of a couple to begin us all.

There was
passion,
laughter,
ardour,
and devotion.

This is love from the true beginning,
before time even began,
a place so perfect and incomprehensible,
we can only wish for now.

I can kindof see what your saying with this peice of writing. It was intresting ill give ypou that. It also made me think - love poems dont usually do that. But you made me ask myself what is love? What is true true love? Does it even exist in this society? Is it a thing of the past, unknown to man at present? You kinda take the reader into the past and just make them wonder.. I mean love are bound to have problmes, every single couple does. Yet hear your giving this image that there is no problems. Nothing. I guess its a bit like this thing that we all want. So yeah i loved the messgae of this poem and i lvoed the fact it made me think. I dont read love poems that often and this one was quite suprising. That said the flow was sketchy. And try using a more varied punctuation. Keep writing though! xx
