You're My Heaven, You're My Home

by Gemma   Jun 3, 2007

When I'm with you,
it's like hearing a thousand children laughing--
I can't help but flash a grin.
It's those first drops of rain
after a long thirsty draught,
it's those warm summer nights
laying out under the stars
that twinkle so sweetly.
It's that old baby blanket or stuffed animal
that we all secretly sleep next to.
You're my little piece of heaven,
stashed under my pillow
to catch my tears
until I fall into a comfortable, numbing sleep.
It's like I'm a wanderer, been lost
for so long.
But when I'm with you,
I've found my way home again.
