I'll Never Be Good Enough

by Lyssi Lori   Jun 3, 2007

"You'll never be good enough!" she shouts at her reflection,
When she looks in the mirror all she sees is imperfection.
She scarcely eats then runs to the bathroom to throw up before it can digest,
She runs to the bathroom and shoves her finger down her throat because she thinks it's for her best.
She goes to school and gets back A on her test, she only missed two,
"You're the class idiot!" she tells herself what she believes to be true.
She walks with her head down and hears someone laugh as they pass her by,
She thinks they're laughing at her and whispers a prayer under her breath to die.
Her friends come over and have fun and then they leave and never return,
She thinks they must hate her, her insides slowly burn.
Her parents scream back and forth at her, she's always the one to blame,
She's tired of life so she hides in her room in shame.
