Don't Be So Hard On Yourself

by Lyssi Lori   Jun 3, 2007

Don't be so hard on yourself, like you said, it was only a game,
You win! There's no reason to feel any guilt or shame.
Don't be so hard on yourself, like you said, it was only for the best,
So stop acting like you're hurt, please just give it a rest.
Don't be so hard on yourself, like you said, it just wasn't meant to be,
So don't look back now, there's nothing left for you to see.
Don't be so hard on yourself, like you said, the reoccurring nightmares will soon come to an end,
So stop tossing and turning, let's say the feelings weren't real, you can at least pretend.
Don't be so hard on yourself, like you said, the memories will eventually fade,
One by one they'll disappear and we'll soon forget every memory we've made.
Don't be so hard on yourself, like you said, everything will eventually be okay,
Don't bother to look back, because there's nothing more to say.
Don't be so hard on yourself, you were right all along,
I'm happy. Why aren’t you? Where did you go wrong?
