The War

The sky turned to darkness,
lightning strike the ground,
panic took over their minds,
and fears were exposed.

Lies run over the television,
hearts filled with dread,
messages waiting to be delivered,
and tears already began falling.

Repeated fights continued,
confined to a life by the book,
death takes over the planet,
and emotions run wild.

Hospitals filled with injuried,
running around in search of life,
pain swept over the Earth,
and lives lost at the seen.

The war had finally reached,
the bays of our country,
as people lost their lives,
and everyone cries.

Fires burned over hills,
people ran for cover,
cover up for all the truths,
and false pretenses of hatred.
