Hall of Mirrors (242)

by NinjaGirl   Jun 4, 2007

I walk in a hall of mirrors
Seeing only myself
And a broken heart
Yet nothing else.

I walked through this hall of deception
Trying to ignore the mirrors
That proved a complete description
Of my many errors.

I walked through a hall of truth
Knowing that a glass mirror never lies
And realizing that I can't cleanse my soul
From its broken cries.

There is this hall of mirrors
I smashed the place to bits
Each fragmented piece of mirror
Showed all the times I'd call it quits.

The mirror always knew
That I never truly tried
And now I really know
That a mirror never lies.

Good job on your poem. Full of emotion.

    The mirror always knew
    That I never truly tried
