I look inside myself
Breathing softly
Heart pounding
In my empty chest
I look to my mind
Hoping for guidance
My head is pounding
My eyes are blind
My taste is numb
And I can not
Feel what is going on
I look into my heart
Hoping for reassurance
But it gives me
No relief
From what as been done
I listen intently
And try to understand
But it speaks a language
I can not understand
