They Do Not Know Her Name

by sadeyes   Jun 5, 2007

Ever since the day she was born
She was broken and beaten down
Today she could not take it anymore
SO my friend left this world
She was never very pretty
Her heart was never cold
Always gave her helping hand
But no one ever noticed her
Plain Jane people called her
She never stood out in the crowd
Now she is gone I am so sad
Her family forgot her face
Not one person could tell her name
But they told her family they were sorry
Just the same
She never made noise or told her secrets
Like how her brother would beat her
Or thirteen what he did to her
That almost killed
She kept the hurt inside
And it swallowed her whole
Deep inside her was a black hole
But no matter what happen
She always was been there for me
Today I said good-bye to my best friend
Now her soul with God
But her shell lives on
She is no longer broken
