Ocean souls

by Kaye Prosser   Jun 5, 2007

The waves moving back and forth
the smell of the oceans salty perfume
her hair it dances in the wind
her dress flowing with the waves
Skin sparkling with drops of the sea
a face flushed with fear
tears roll from honey glazed eyes
down red warm cheeks

Along the beach she walks watching her feet
they drag in the sand
so heavy the pain in her heart
her sorrows singing a song
with each movement of her body
with each tear that rolls from sad eyes
itching in her legs
some how running now
not knowing not thinking
running from the truth running from the lies
sand crawling on her legs and arms
a sleeve soft yet grainy
chills set up her spine as the waves hit her fallen body
lying as though chained to the ground
The only thing moving her from her spot
the waves they carry her away
out to desolate waters
were there she'll float lost at sea
just like her loved ones
taken by angry waters
taken by angry Sky's
now not alone but with them.
