How to Rise?

by David   Jun 5, 2007

How will I rise?
Every single day
Knowing that I have hurt you
In a cruel crippling way

I fall down sharply, to my knee's
I must pay the ultimate price
I am constantly ashamed
I have no courage, anymore

Yet no one knows the inner me
The sensitive one who does cry
A guy who needs a friend, who will not let him fall
He wants to move on, not die

Yet no one yet has proven themselves worthy
To be there when I am down and out
Talk to me and say the comforting words to get me through
Give me advice on what life is truly about

So once again, help me!
Save my life, help me through
Quick, I need a friend right now
Words of comfort will be perfect, they will do

Oh, i'm sad that you had a bad day, this poem really shows it, it is very true and heartfelt. the vocabulary was pretty okay, but it flowed really well so that's good.

This was a rather heartrending piece by you. It is in fact something which I could thoroughly correlate with, specially this part: "Yet no one yet has proven themselves worthy. To be there when I am down and out".

A pleasure to read, nonetheless. Thank you for sharing, sweet.
