Our World

by sadeyes   Jun 5, 2007

Look around this beautiful world
Can you see that pretty little girl
Never mind a gun took her out of this world
Now they all stand there remembering
A child who died in brutal silience
No one knows who gunned her down
And I bet they won'y be found

What about all the other children
Whose life ends in hunger
It makes me sick
Give those children all they can eat
So a child never has to go to sleep
Wishing they had a piece of bread to eat

Look over there a child with a gun
What is happening to the world we live in
That boy can't be no older then 9 or 10
But all we do is blame our schools and T.V.
When do we start looking at the parents

We need to teach our children of love and respect
No matter what color is the others skiN
Than maybe, just maybe than
We can all start to live in peace
In our Lord's land

This was deep and really true. We witness this everytime. Know what, children are one of the most vulnerable group. They contribute less to some of our problems but the get affected the most but all of our actions. This was great, it appreciates our children and how much they need direction.

U hit the right points in this poem. if only... but men have become monsters every single one of us! just look at the problem of hunger, we all have more food then we really need while other ppl starve, when we see images of that we are shocked... how hypocritical. "evil prevails when good men do nothing". 4/5
