Not Today

You hardly crossed my mind today
I did not even sigh
I went throughout my day
hardly blinking an eye

today I did not feel the sadness
my heart didn't miss a beat
throughout my entire day
I stood on my two feet

today I did not long for you
or ponder why your gone
did not let the past affect me
felt as though nothing was wrong

I haven't shed a tear today
tonight they will not fall
I didn't get upset today
I knew you wouldn't call

Today I didn't love you
and I doubt i ever will
went throughout my day smiling
and guess what, I'm smiling still :)
