Let It Out

by Twisted Heart   Jun 5, 2007

You bottle up your emotions
Keeping them like sacred wine
Not one to show love you feel
Nor pain that lives inside.

Always one to go the distance
Whether hurt or in confusion
Knowing you'll have a place to hide
Inside your sweet illusions.

No heart collides with what you have
No soul of refuge do you find
Each day trudging a lonely road
Within the sanctity of mind.

Upon the night dipped in a veil
Tepid thoughts have come to rest
Upon the heart chains are locked
Against loves whisper and caress.

To feel the winds of harmony
With another you dare not seek
For just as surely as you trust
Doubts will drain your energy.

So nights will find you staring blindly
At a star that sees your pain
And the breath of each new dawn
Finds you there, alone... again.

    The ending really touched me.

Oh my this reminds me so much a horrible relationship I was in. Night after night I would be alone even though we were supposed to be together. I was to scared to leave the situation thinking that no one could ever love me and that all my past experiences was the reason I was where I was at this moment. Thank God, I broke free from my co-dependent ways. This write is truly touching and stirred so many feelings about the relationship of past. You have such a knack with words and often times I am left bewildered and think you may have taken a peek at my life and have written it. Fantastic flow. Great Job 5/5
