What is Beauty?
Is it having the perfect round eyes,
That everyone so desires?
Is it having a body like the old coke bottles,
That they used to sell in the '50s?
Why do people call girls beautiful and boys handsome?
Why does the opposite sex gawk at my features,
But I look in the mirror and I see no beauty?
As a child, beauty was defined as porcelain skin,
Long straight (mostly blond) hair, and large Mysterious eyes.
Not pimple-streaked skin, curly Puerto-Rican
Hair, and ordinary, depressing eyes.
Why is beauty defined by looks and not what
One is like?
If only people looked like how they acted, then
More people would be more enjoyable....
Most of the girls would look like gargoyles, all
Mean and spiteful but the quiet ones that are passive
And keep to themselves, they would be the ones that Are gorgeous like
Fairytale princesses, with hearts so immense and pure...
