A Pity Wasted Is a Sorrow Gained.

by SmileeItsBritt   Jun 5, 2007

When I opened my eyes this morning,
This is the last place I expected to be
But we're here and the clock is fading
Words can't describe to make them believe.

Rumor has it I was played for a fool
So tell me all the things you never said,
You have a tendency to hide the truth,
So take back the words you never meant

You're not ashamed for being ruthless,
But I'm embarrassed for falling apart
Was this never really meant to break?
Or did you intend this from the start?

These words they taste of bitterness
Just dying for any release,
Hands are laid in front of me,
But with little effort, I cannot reach.

A pity wasted, is a sorrow gained
So bold were you to play this game
You broke the rules with a lack of understanding,
In this trial of love and hate.

As the daylight fades, we follow suit
We'll fade in and give up the fight,
As we get lost with everything that matters,
We'll disappear and say goodnight.
